The sea and emotions; the transformative power of nature.

This project began in 2014, when returning from Argentine Patagonia to the city of birth with the intention of staying for good. After so many years going from one place to another without having a fixed place of residence, the decision was made to remain in the city that had been escaped from so many times.

This project was born from walks by the sea along the Basque Coast. Always accompanied by a camera, the ever-changing character of the Cantabrian Sea and the Bay of Biscay became evident. Little by little, more and more images appeared, psychological portraits of a sea that reveals, in unexpected ways each day, the thousand faces it hides.

While reviewing the photographs that had been taken, a close connection was felt with each one of them. Images that recalled the emotions and feelings present when approaching the sea to photograph it.
