TRANSIT
The TRANSIT Next Stop project is a literary and photographic project that shows the situation of migrants in transit who arrive in the city of Irun (Spain) to cross the border into France.
To take the photographs, the project and its objectives were explained to them. Some agreed, although the vast majority declined the offer for different reasons. Their only goal was to continue their journey as soon as possible. For this reason, the photographs were taken in just a few minutes and, in some cases, there was only time to press the shutter button.
The portraits shown aim to be a doorway that leads to reflection, and the texts that accompany them are the stories of a group of people who have decided to delve into them. They are a gift offered selflessly, an invitation that encourages seeing, looking at, and approaching in a different way a reality which, although often ignored, remains unacceptable in the 21st century.
